Ballet is the bedrock of almost every kind of dance, and at Pirouette it is taught with patience and joy rather than fear. Our graded classes are built on Royal Academy of Dance foundations, so a dancer progresses through clear, achievable levels — from a tot’s first plié to the strength and artistry of an advanced student.
Each class blends barre and centre work, musicality and expression, with themes and imagery that keep younger dancers engaged while the technique quietly takes root. We hold standards high and corrections kind: posture, turnout, line and footwork are built carefully, never rushed, so dancers move well for life — not just for a recital.
For teens and adults, ballet is a wonderful return. Our adult classes focus on strengthening, barre, centre, across-the-floor and simple variations, taught at a sensible pace whether you danced as a child or are starting completely fresh. You leave taller, calmer and a little more graceful than you arrived.
