Medical & cosmetic dermatology

Whether you are managing a skin condition or addressing a cosmetic concern, our dermatologists assess you medically first, then recommend the right treatment track.

Our signature tool

Skin Condition Navigator

Tell us your concern, how long it has been present, and what you have tried — and we will point you to the right starting point, with an indicative first-consult fee.

1. What is the main concern?
2. How long has it been present?
3. Have you tried anything for it yet?

This navigator is a guide to help you take the right first step — it is not a diagnosis, a triage decision or a fixed quote. A first consultation with a dermatologist is always required, and the indicative fee depends on the doctor seen and the time needed. Anything new, changing, bleeding or rapidly worsening should be reviewed promptly regardless of this tool. Clearbrook Skin & Dermatology is a fictional demo brand built by SGBP — general information only, not medical advice.

How we work

A medical practice, first and foremost

Specialist-led, always

Every patient is seen by an accredited dermatologist — not a therapist or a general practitioner. The diagnosis is the foundation of everything that follows.

Diagnosis before treatment

We examine and diagnose properly before recommending anything. No standard packages, no treatment that has not been matched to your actual condition.

Honest about expectations

We tell you plainly what is realistic, how long it will take and what it will cost — including when the kindest answer is reassurance, not treatment.

Our specialists

Seen by an accredited dermatologist

Every patient is examined and diagnosed by a registered specialist — the foundation of a plan you can trust.

When to come in

Is it time to see a specialist?

If a skin, hair or nail concern lingers, recurs, or simply worries you, a specialist opinion gives you an accurate diagnosis — and treatment that works rather than guesswork. It is worth coming in if you notice any of these:

  • A persistent rash, itch or redness that creams have not fixed
  • Acne that scars, hurts, or keeps coming back
  • A mole or growth that is new, changing, itching or bleeding
  • Hair shedding, a widening parting, or an itchy, flaky scalp
  • Eczema or psoriasis flares that disrupt sleep and daily life
  • Pigmentation or uneven skin tone you want assessed properly
Simple & clear

How your visit works

Book a consultation

Request an appointment online, message us, or call. A first consultation is always required before any treatment or prescription.

Specialist assessment

A dermatologist examines your skin properly, takes your history, and uses dermoscopy or tests where useful to reach an accurate diagnosis.

A clear, written plan

You leave with a diagnosis explained in plain language, a treatment plan, indicative costs, and the Medisave position where it applies.

Review & maintenance

We follow up to check progress and adjust, and set a sensible long-term plan for conditions that need ongoing management.

What our patients say

★★★★★

“I had spent two years and a small fortune on facials and pharmacy products for acne that just kept coming back. Dr Soh actually diagnosed what was driving it on the first visit and put me on a proper plan. Six months on my skin is the calmest it has been since my twenties — my only regret is not booking earlier.”

“A mole on my back had changed and I had been quietly worrying about it for months. The check with dermoscopy took ten minutes, they explained everything clearly, and removed it the same week to be safe. The relief afterwards was enormous. This is exactly the sort of thing you should not put off.”

“My daughter’s eczema had taken over our lives — the scratching, the sleepless nights, all the conflicting advice. Dr Lim was so gentle with her and finally gave us a plan that made sense. For the first time in a year we have stretches of clear, settled skin. I cannot thank the clinic enough.”

★★★★★

“I assumed thinning hair was just something to accept. Dr Tan ran the right tests, found the actual cause, and started treatment early. Months later the shedding has clearly slowed and some has come back. The honesty about what was and was not realistic is what won me over.”

Frequently asked questions

It matters more than people realise. A dermatologist has completed specialist training in skin, hair and nail medicine and holds specialist registration, so they can diagnose and medically treat eczema, psoriasis, acne and skin cancer as well as carry out cosmetic procedures. An aesthetic doctor is a general practitioner focused on cosmetic treatments, not a skin specialist. Everyone at Clearbrook is seen by an accredited dermatologist — partly because so many good cosmetic decisions hinge on getting the medical picture right first.
You do not need a referral to see us — you can book directly. A first consultation is always required before any treatment or prescription, because everything we recommend follows from an accurate diagnosis. If you do have a referral letter or notes from a GP or another clinic, bring them along, as they help us build a fuller picture of your skin.
It is a guide, not a diagnosis. You choose the concern closest to yours, tell it how long the problem has been present and what you have already tried, and it suggests whether you are likely on the medical or cosmetic track, gives an indicative first-consultation fee, and flags when something should be reviewed sooner. Think of it as a sensible first signpost — the dermatologist makes the actual diagnosis and plan at your visit. Anything that is new, changing, bleeding or rapidly worsening should be seen promptly regardless of what any online tool suggests.
It comes down to which treatment you have. Genuinely medical procedures — certain surgical removals and some treatments for medical conditions — may be Medisave-claimable or covered by an insurance plan up to the applicable limits, and our team will tell you where that applies and help with the paperwork. Consultations and purely cosmetic treatments are generally self-paid. We always set out the cost and what you can claim before anything goes ahead, so nothing on the bill is a surprise.
A few simple things help. Come with the affected skin clean and free of makeup, sunscreen or nail polish if it is your nails being assessed, so the dermatologist can examine it properly. Bring a list of any products, creams or medicines you are using or have tried, note when the problem started and what seems to set it off, and bring any past results or referral letters. The clearer the history, the faster we reach the right diagnosis.
That depends on the condition. A mole check is a single visit; acne and eczema usually need a first consultation and a review or two as we settle and then maintain the skin; conditions like psoriasis and hair loss are managed over the longer term. Cosmetic treatments such as lasers are typically a course of sessions. At your consultation we set out a realistic timeline for your particular case rather than promising a fixed number that may not fit.
There are two specialist clinics, both central and a short walk from an MRT — Clearbrook @ Orchard inside Paragon Medical Suites, and Clearbrook @ Novena at the Novena Specialist Centre on Sinaran Drive. Weekday clinics run from 9am to 5:30pm, with a Saturday-morning session until 1pm; we close on Sundays and public holidays. If something is urgent, such as a mole that has changed or a severe flare, do phone ahead and we will try to bring your appointment forward.
Your notes, contact number and any clinical photographs stay in strict medical confidence, used purely to look after you under our professional obligations and Singapore’s PDPA. We never sell your details or hand them to anyone outside your treating team for marketing, and each form here asks only for the minimum we need to reply to you.
