The challenge
Saffron Lane was a beloved family restaurant handed to the next generation, who wanted to open a second outlet and reach a younger crowd — without alienating the regulars who had eaten there for twenty years. The old branding felt tired, but a clean-slate rebrand risked throwing away decades of goodwill.
What we did
We treated the rebrand as a careful restoration, not a replacement. We kept the elements customers loved, sharpened them, and built a warm modern identity around them, then carried it across menus, signage, packaging and a launch campaign for the second outlet.
The result
The refreshed brand opened the second outlet to a strong reception and gave the family a look that felt current without feeling like a different restaurant. Long-time regulars recognised it instantly, which was the whole point.
“My father built this place. Cinder helped us grow it up without losing what made people love it in the first place.”
