What it involves
A day at Romp & Roam is a proper day out for your dog, not a holding pen. They arrive in the morning, get checked in by name, and join a small playgroup matched by size and temperament — never one big free-for-all. The morning is active play and a neighbourhood walk; the early afternoon is a genuine nap in our quiet, dimmed rest room; the late afternoon is gentler games before pickup.
Every group has a handler on the floor the whole time. We read the room constantly — stepping in before play gets too rough, giving the shy ones space, and pulling out anyone who needs a breather. It is structured fun, supervised by people who actually know dog body language, in a clean, air-conditioned space built for paws rather than a converted office.
You get a daily report card at pickup: who they played with, how they ate and napped, the walk they went on, and a photo or two from the day. Most dogs come home pleasantly tired and properly socialised, which is the whole point — a calmer evening at home and a dog that is genuinely happy to come back tomorrow.
Good for
Any sociable dog whose human is out at work and would rather not leave them home alone.
A typical daycare day
Every dog’s day follows the same gentle rhythm — active, rested and supervised throughout.
