A Sentosa estate wedding blending a Chinese tea ceremony with a design-led evening reception.
Priya and Kenneth had booked Capella and a stunning photography team, and wanted a planner to design the look and run the day. We came in for partial planning with a clear design remit: a restful, design-led celebration that moved from an afternoon tea ceremony in the colonial manor to a candlelit dinner on the lawn.
We built the visual world — muted greens, cream and the faintest blush, with low, sculptural florals that didn’t hide the architecture — and we choreographed the tea ceremony so both families had their moment without the day losing its calm. The estate setting did a great deal of the work; our job was to keep it uncluttered.
In the final weeks we took the vendor coordination off the couple, built the timeline, ran the rehearsal and managed the evening. The result was the quiet kind of luxury they’d wanted — considered, unhurried, and unmistakably theirs.
“Understated, calm, beautiful — exactly the wedding we couldn’t quite describe but knew when we saw it.”
