What this class is like
Gentle Groove is a full dance-fitness class with the impact dialled right down. The choreography stays simple and joyful, the music stays familiar, and there is no jumping — just plenty of stepping, swaying and arm work that gets the heart going at a friendly, sustainable level.
It is built for our wonderful over-50s crowd and for anyone returning to movement gently — after a long break, an injury, or simply a few years away from regular exercise. The instructor keeps a close eye on the room and offers an easier version of everything.
Do not mistake gentle for easy on the smile front, though — this is one of our most joyful, sociable classes. Many of our most loyal regulars started right here.
Who it’s for
Active over-50s, post-injury returners, or anyone who prefers a kinder pace.
