Truss and rigging at a Singapore event stage

Questions, answered straight

The things organisers ask us most — about booking, crew, safety, venues and pricing.

Home / FAQ
For a designed production — awards night, launch, concert — two to four weeks gives us room to plan, pre-viz and rehearse properly. We do take shorter-notice jobs when the diary allows, so message us even if the date is close; we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.
We run it. Every Blackbox package includes the crew to bump in, operate the show live and strike afterwards — a sound engineer, lighting tech, media operator or show caller as the event needs. We’re a production company, not a dry-hire warehouse.
Both. Many clients book a single discipline — just sound, just an LED wall — while others hand us the full stage: sound, light, screens, staging and stream under one crew and one quote. Tell us where you need us and we’ll scope to that.
Yes — hotels, convention halls, atria, condo function rooms, outdoor lawns and tents. We liaise with the venue on load-in times, power, rigging points and house rules before the day, so bump-in goes smoothly and the safety officer is happy.
We treat staging and rigging as engineering. Loads are calculated, structures certified and our riggers sign off before anything flies. We confirm the venue’s available power and bring distribution and backup where needed, so nothing trips mid-show.
For lighting and full-production jobs we can pre-viz the looks with you in our programming suite, so you approve the wash, the reveal state and the party scene before show day. By the time we arrive, the cues already exist — we just run them.
By the event — type, headcount, venue and the scope you need. The Quote Builder on this site gives an honest indicative figure in seconds; the formal quote is itemised so you can see exactly what each part costs. No vague “it depends” invoices.
Yes. For conferences, festivals and roadshows that run several days or move between venues we quote multi-day and tour rates, and keep the same crew across the run so the show gets tighter, not shakier, as it goes.
A deposit locks in your date; the balance falls due just before or right after the event via PayNow, bank transfer or card, with Atome on smaller jobs. Everything appears on an itemised invoice — no hidden charges once the night is over.
