What this is
Lighting is what makes a room read as an occasion. The difference between a function room with the house fluorescents on and the same room washed in colour with the stage carved out in light is the difference between a meeting and a moment. We design looks per segment — a warm wash for dinner, a punchy state for the awards reveal, a moody scene for the live act — and program them to a console so they fire on a single button at the right beat.
How we run it on the day
Our inventory runs from LED par cans and battens for colour washes to moving heads for beams, gobos and movement, plus profile fixtures for clean key light on a speaker’s face. We add haze where the room allows so beams actually cut through the air. For logos and patterns we cut custom gobos so your brand or the couple’s monogram lands on the wall or the dancefloor.
Every show is programmed and operated by a Blackbox lighting tech. We can pre-visualise the looks with you ahead of time so nothing on the night catches you off guard, then run the cues live to the run sheet — catching the host as they walk on, snapping to the reveal state on cue, easing into the party at the end.
