What's involved

Cats are not small dogs, so we don’t groom them like one. Cat sessions are handled by a groomer experienced with feline body language, in a quieter space away from barking, at a pace the cat sets. For many cats that means a warm bath, a thorough brush-out and a blow-dry; for matted long-hairs it may mean a tidy lion or teddy clip to reset the coat kindly.

Long-haired cats — Persians, Ragdolls, Maine Coons — mat in places a home brush can’t safely reach, especially the belly and behind the legs. Left alone, those mats pull on the skin and hurt. We work them out where we safely can, clip them out where we can’t, and always put the cat’s comfort ahead of a perfect finish.

We’ll be honest about what your cat will tolerate. Some cats sail through; some need a calmer, shorter session or a vet’s help for heavy matting. We never force a distressed cat, and we’ll tell you plainly if today isn’t the day. The goal is a cat that’s comfortable and mat-free, not a battle.
