Acupuncture针灸
Fine, sterile needles placed on precise points to ease pain, calm the system and restore balance.
Gua sha is a press-and-stroke technique: using a smooth-edged tool, your physician gently scrapes along the muscles and channels, usually across the neck, shoulders and upper back. It releases trapped heat and tension, encourages blood flow, and brings a real sense of relief to a tight, stressed body.
It is one of our go-to treatments for the modern, screen-bound complaints — the stiff "tech neck", the tension headaches that build through the day, and the all-over tightness of a stressful stretch. In TCM it is also used at the very first signs of a cold to help the body clear it.
The technique brings a temporary reddening (sha) to the surface that fades over a few days — a sign the stagnation is moving. It is quick, surprisingly soothing, and pairs beautifully with acupuncture or tuina for stress and pain.
Stress that sits in the neck and shoulders, tension headaches, and the start of a cold.
