Learn to draw, paint and shape clay — one warm term at a time
A small neighbourhood studio for kids and adults, with practising artist-educators, tiny classes and every material provided. Try a single class before you commit.

A studio that teaches the way we wish we'd been taught
Pigment Studio started in 2017 above a Tiong Bahru shophouse with one teaching room and a borrowed kiln. We believe art is a skill anyone can learn — given small classes, patient teachers and the room to be a beginner. No talent required, no judgement, just steady, satisfying progress, term by term.
Eight easels at most, so every student is actually taught and seen — never a room of thirty.
Pencils, paints, clay, kiln firings, easels and aprons all included. Turn up empty-handed.
What we teach
Four broad paths through the studio — pick a medium you love, or roam across all of them. Every course is taught in small, age-matched groups.
Drawing & Sketching
Pencil, charcoal and ink foundations — observation, proportion, light and shadow. The skill everything else is built on.
Painting & Colour
Acrylic, oil and watercolour — colour mixing, brushwork and the satisfaction of finishing a canvas you are proud of.
Clay & Ceramics
Hand-building and the wheel in our kiln room, glazed and fired in studio. Make real, usable things from a lump of earth.
Kids, Teens & Portfolio
From joyful Kids Art Club to serious teen studio and DSA-portfolio coaching — a path that grows with your young artist.
Courses by age & stage
From a joyful first hour at five to a serious portfolio at seventeen, there is a course that starts exactly where the student is.

What students & parents say
I genuinely believed I could not draw. Ten weeks later I have a sketchbook I am proud of and I draw at home for fun now. Cheryl is patient and the class is tiny, so you actually get taught. Easily the best two hours of my week — already signed up for painting next term.
Booked the clay term as a birthday gift to myself and got completely hooked. Throwing on the wheel is addictive, the kiln room is the most calming place in the east, and I have a whole set of mugs I actually made. Priya makes the wobbly first attempts feel like wins.
My daughter went into the portfolio programme nervous and came out with a folio that got her a DSA-Art place. Daryl planned every term, gave proper critique and prepped her for the interview. Worth every cent — we tried bigger schools first and this was far more personal.
My six-year-old asks all week if it is art day yet. Small group, lovely teacher, and a different themed project every term that he is so proud of. They send the artwork home and our fridge is now a gallery. The trial sold us instantly — just book it.
