Inside the Seniors Art Mornings course

Retirees and seniors (and anyone with weekday mornings free) who fancy taking up art.
What you will get out of it:
- Weekday 2-hour morning sessions
- All materials, seated easels available
- Drawing, painting & watercolour rotation
- A warm, sociable small group
- A place in the termly studio show
It is never too late to start, and our weekday Seniors Art Mornings prove it term after term. The pace is gentle, the chairs are comfortable, and the only goal is to enjoy making art while learning real skills — drawing, acrylic, watercolour, a little of each, however the class fancies.
Many who join have not picked up a pencil since school and are quietly nervous; within a few weeks they are swapping tips over kopi and looking forward to Tuesdays. We adapt to every pair of hands, offer larger materials and seated easels where helpful, and keep things relaxed and sociable throughout.
Beyond the art itself, it is wonderful for the mind and the spirits — focus, dexterity, fresh faces and the simple pride of finishing a piece. We end each term with a small studio exhibition that families are warmly invited to. Beginners are not just welcome here; they are the heart of the class.
