Inside the Acrylic & Oil Painting course

Anyone ready to move from drawing into colour, or returning to paint after years away.
What you will get out of it:
- 10 guided sessions, 2.5 hours each
- Canvases, acrylics, oils & mediums provided
- Easels & a set-up palette per student
- Demonstrations on every new technique
- A framed-worthy final piece
Painting trips a lot of beginners up because nobody taught them colour. This term fixes that. You learn to mix the colour you actually see, build a painting from block-in to detail, and handle both acrylic (fast, forgiving) and oil (slow, luscious) so you can choose what suits you.
We work through still life, landscape from your own photos, and a free final piece, covering brushwork, layering, glazing and how to know when a painting is finished. Easels, canvases, a working palette and good paints are all set up when you arrive — you just bring an apron and your eyes.
The studio stays relaxed: jazz on low, coffee going, real conversation about each other's work. Beginners and returners mix happily, and the tutor adjusts the brief to where you actually are. You leave each term with one or two canvases worth framing.
Nice things to pair with it
- Bring your own reference photo to paint
- Add canvases & premium paints from studio
