Is Muay Thai Fundamentals right for you?
Complete beginners and anyone returning after a long break — no fitness or experience needed.
Fundamentals is where almost everyone at Clinch begins, and it is built so that walking in on day one feels welcoming rather than intimidating. We start slow, explain the why behind every movement, and break Muay Thai down into pieces you can actually feel working — your stance, your guard, how to throw a jab that lands and a kick that does not throw you off balance.
Inside a Muay Thai Fundamentals class
You will not be thrown into hard sparring or asked to do anything you are not ready for. The class moves at a beginner pace, the coaches keep a close eye on your form, and the room is full of people who were exactly where you are not long ago. The pad rounds are light and friendly — enough to feel the satisfying crack of a clean strike without any pressure.
- A proper warm-up, shadowboxing and mobility
- Stance, guard, footwork and the basic punches, kicks, knees and elbows
- Light, friendly pad rounds with a coach or partner
- Bodyweight conditioning to finish — go at your own pace

Where Muay Thai Fundamentals sits in your path
Train Fundamentals two or three times a week and within a month most people move noticeably better, breathe easier, and start to feel the addictive rhythm of Muay Thai. It is the foundation everything else at the gym is built on — and for a lot of our members, it is simply the best hour of their week.
Suggested rhythm: Best 2–3 times a week to start.
