Aircon servicing questions

For most Singapore homes, a general service every three months keeps units cooling well and running cheaply, with a chemical wash roughly once a year per unit. Heavy-use rooms, dusty areas or homes that run the aircon all day are better on a two-monthly rhythm. Our quarterly and bi-monthly Care plans simply schedule this for you so you never have to remember.
General servicing is a routine clean of filters, coils and drainage with a cooling check — the regular upkeep. A chemical wash is a deeper clean using chemical solution on the coil and blower to revive a weak or smelly unit, usually once a year. A chemical overhaul is the heaviest job: the unit is fully dismantled and every part cleaned individually, to rescue badly neglected aircon. We will always tell you honestly which one your unit actually needs.
Maybe, but not always. A unit that blows warm can be low on gas, but it can also be a choked filter, a frozen coil, a faulty capacitor or a tripped board. We measure the gas pressure with a gauge before topping anything up, and if pressure is dropping there is a leak to find first — topping up without fixing a leak just wastes money. We diagnose the real cause and quote before any work.
Just WhatsApp us — a message, and ideally a photo or short video of the unit. We reply within the hour during opening times (8am–8pm daily), give you a likely fix and price range, then book a trained technician into a slot that suits you. Many jobs are same-day or next-day, and on the hottest days we do our best to prioritise no-cooling emergencies.
Always. You get a clear price range over WhatsApp before we come, and a firm per-unit or parts quote on site before anything is done — nothing is replaced or charged without your say-so. For repairs, the callout fee goes towards the repair if you choose to proceed. We do not do callout-then-surprise-bill.
Yes. Every Frostline technician is background-checked, trained in-house and insured, and you tend to see the same faces rather than a different freelancer each visit. Our work is also backed by a 90-day workmanship warranty — if a fault we serviced or repaired returns within that time, we come back and put it right at no charge.
All three. We service HDB flats, condominiums and landed homes island-wide, for both wall-mounted and cassette systems. Pricing is per unit and the same fair rates apply; landed homes and larger systems are simply quoted by the number and type of units. Landlords can also put multiple tenanted properties on one consolidated plan.
Yes, and for most homes they pay for themselves. A Care plan schedules your general services across the year, costs less per visit than one-off bookings, gives you priority repair slots and a standing discount on washes and repairs, and keeps a service history for your units. Pick quarterly or bi-monthly, cover one home or several — and stop having to remember.
Your contact details and any photos you share stay private with us, handled the way Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) requires. We use them purely to arrange your booking and follow up on the job — never to market at you, and never passed to anyone else.
