A deeper chemical clean of the coils and filters to revive a weak, slow or smelly unit.
What’s involved
A chemical wash goes well beyond a routine clean. We apply a specialised chemical solution to the cooling coil and blower wheel, then flush away the grime, mould and bacteria that a normal wash leaves behind — the stuff that makes a unit weak, slow and smelly.
It is the right call when a unit is no longer cooling the way it should, takes ages to bring the room down, or puffs out a musty smell on start-up. We treat the drainage and tray too, so the leaking and dripping that often comes with a clogged unit is sorted at the same time.
Most units want a chemical wash about once a year, between their regular general services. You will usually feel the difference the moment it is switched back on — colder air, faster cooling and no more smell.
