What’s involved
A leaking aircon is almost always a drainage problem, not a refrigerant one. Over time the drainage pipe and tray clog with the same grime that builds up inside the unit, the water has nowhere to go, and it backs up and drips out the front instead.
We jet and clear the drainage line, flush the tray, and check the gradient and the pump (if your unit has one) so the water runs away properly again. Where the unit is heavily clogged, a chemical wash is often the lasting fix, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Left alone, a leaking unit stains walls, lifts skirting and can short the electronics, so it is worth sorting early. We clear the leak, test it under load, and make sure it is genuinely dry before we leave.
Good for
Units dripping water down the wall, off the trunking, or pooling on the floor.
