Ballet for Children
Ages 5–9 · 60 min
Proper classical ballet for the joy of it — strong technique and good habits, without the commitment of the exam calendar.

A graded, exam-track academy where dancers from age three build real technique — at the pace that’s right for them.
Aria Ballet Academy was built on a simple belief: that beautiful ballet grows from honest foundations. We teach the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus with rigour and real warmth, so every dancer — recreational or pre-professional — progresses on solid technique and genuine love of the art.

Meet the faculty

Founded by former company dancer Madeleine Sng, Aria grew from one frustration with the studios she trained in as a child: too many pushed exams over technique, and grades over the dancer. We do the opposite.
Every dancer here learns correct alignment and the real vocabulary of ballet from the first term, moves up only when the work is secure, and is corrected with care — never shamed in front of the room. It is how good dancers, and happy ones, are made.
More about AriaWe teach the Royal Academy of Dance graded and vocational syllabus, so progress is internationally recognised and properly structured.
Dancers move up a grade and enter exams only when the work is genuinely secure — a grade well earned, never a grade pushed.
We keep groups small so every dancer is corrected by name, from the three-year-olds in baby ballet to dancers on pointe.
Technique comes first, but never at the cost of musicality and expression — we grow dancers, not just exam candidates.
A clear, unhurried route from a child’s very first class to serious pre-professional training — or wherever along it a dancer chooses to stay.
Find your levelUse our Placement Finder or come in for a trial class, and we will place your dancer at the level that fits their age, experience and goals — never too far ahead, never held back.
Whether recreational or exam-track, every dancer learns correct alignment, the vocabulary of ballet and good studio habits from the very first term.
Dancers move up a grade and enter exams only when they are ready. We keep families honestly informed each term so there are no surprises.
An annual recital, repertoire enrichment, pointe and a clear pre-professional pathway give committed dancers somewhere real to grow into.
From baby ballet to pointe, recreational to exam-track — find the class that fits.

We’d place this dancer in
This is a friendly guide, not a final placement. The surest way is a trial class, where the teacher confirms the right level in person. Aria Ballet Academy is a fictional demo brand built by SGBP.
Choose all three above and we’ll suggest a level, a class and an indicative term fee.
My daughter has gone from a shy six-year-old to a Grade 3 dancer who practises in the kitchen. What I value most is the honesty — they only entered her for the exam when she was genuinely ready, and she passed with Distinction. Worth every term.
My son started ballet at twelve, which I worried was too late. Aria made him feel welcome from day one and never patronised him. A year on his posture, focus and confidence are transformed, and he asks to go to class.
I always wanted to try ballet and finally did at thirty-eight. The beginners class is so kind and clearly taught — I never feel out of place. It has quietly become the hour of the week I protect the most.
The best way to know if Aria is right for your dancer is to step inside. Book a trial class at the level we place them in — no joining fee, no obligation.
