Baby Ballet & Pre-Primary
Ages 3–5 · 45 min
A gentle, story-led first taste of ballet — skipping, balancing and listening, with the manners of the studio learned through play.
The RAD Graded programme is the spine of Aria. We teach the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus grade by grade, so a dancer moves through a clear, internationally recognised pathway rather than a loose set of routines. Each grade builds technique, musicality and free movement, and is examined by a visiting RAD examiner when the dancer is genuinely ready — never before.
A typical grade is covered over the year, with one or two classes a week depending on the level. We are honest about readiness: a child only enters for an exam when their teacher is confident the work is secure, because a grade well earned is worth far more than a grade rushed. Parents receive a clear picture of progress each term.
This is the right track for a dancer who wants their progress recognised and their foundations built properly. It suits both the child who simply loves ballet and the one who may go on to vocational training — the syllabus carries both, and our teachers shape the emphasis to each dancer.
