RAD Graded Ballet
Ages 6–13 · 60–75 min
Our core exam-track pathway — the Royal Academy of Dance graded syllabus, taught grade by grade towards recognised assessments.
Baby Ballet is where most of our youngest dancers begin. Classes are built around stories, songs and imagery — a butterfly stretch, a tiptoe across the studio, a curtsey at the end — so that three- to five-year-olds learn to listen, wait their turn and move with the music before any formal vocabulary is introduced.
There is real structure beneath the play. Children practise the same warm-up each week, learn to find first position and a soft port de bras, and slowly build the focus a graded class will later ask of them. Teachers cap the group size, so each child gets noticed and gently encouraged.
It is the right choice when you want a calm, nurturing introduction rather than a performance push. Many families stay with us from here all the way through the graded syllabus, but there is never any pressure — the only goal at this age is that your child leaves smiling and wanting to come back.
