What the class is like
Prenatal Yoga is built entirely around a changing body. Every shape is modified for pregnancy and chosen to do what expecting mothers actually need — ease the lower-back and hip ache, keep the body mobile and strong, build breath for labour, and carve out a calm hour in a hectic stretch of life.
Our prenatal teachers are specifically trained for it, the room is kept small and warm-hearted, and nothing is pushed. We adjust class by class for your trimester and how you feel that day, and you are always shown a gentler option. It is as much about community and reassurance as it is about the poses.
Most mothers join from the second trimester and continue right up to their due date, though earlier is fine with your doctor's nod. Many carry straight on into our postnatal classes afterwards. It is one of the warmest corners of the studio.
