About Stillpoint

A practice that feels like a person, not a clinic
Stillpoint began with a simple frustration. Our founder, Rachel Tham, had spent years in community mental health and kept meeting people who needed support but found the usual settings cold, clinical or hard to reach. She wanted somewhere that felt human — a quiet room, a warm welcome, and a counsellor who met you as a person rather than a problem to be fixed.
So in 2017 she opened a small practice at Novena, and Stillpoint grew gently from there. Today we’re a close team of counsellors and psychotherapists across two warm rooms in Singapore, seeing adults, couples, families, teenagers and children — in person and online.
What hasn’t changed is the feeling we set out to create: that reaching for help should be met with warmth, not judgement, and that everyone deserves a steady, confidential space to talk things through.
What you can count on from us
The things we hold to in every session, with every client.
Trained, registered counsellors
Every counsellor holds a recognised counselling or psychotherapy qualification and works to professional ethical standards — never a well-meaning amateur.
Warm first, clinical second
We’re a wellness practice, not a hospital. The rooms are calm and human, and you’re met as a person — never a diagnosis or a case number.
Genuinely confidential
What you share stays in the room, handled under Singapore’s PDPA and held securely. We’re always clear about the rare limits, which only ever concern safety.
A counsellor to suit you
A diverse team across ages, genders and specialisms means we can match you thoughtfully — and gladly help you switch if the fit isn’t right.
Honest, transparent fees
Clear fees published up front, including lower practicum-counsellor rates so support is within reach. Pay by PayNow, card or Atome — no surprises.

Approaches we draw on
We tailor our way of working to you. These are some of the evidence-based approaches our counsellors are trained in.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
A practical, evidence-based approach for noticing and shifting the thought and behaviour patterns that keep anxiety and low mood going.
Person-Centred Counselling
A warm, non-directive space built on genuine listening and acceptance, letting you find your own way forward at your own pace.
Acceptance & Commitment (ACT)
Learning to make room for difficult feelings while moving toward what genuinely matters to you, rather than fighting your own mind.
EMDR & Trauma-Informed Work
Gentle, structured approaches for processing painful or frightening past experiences so they loosen their grip on the present.
Emotionally-Focused Work
For couples and individuals — understanding the emotions beneath the conflict and building safer, closer ways of connecting.
Play & Expressive Arts
For children and teens — using play, drawing and story to express and work through feelings that are hard to put into words.
Where to find us
Two calm rooms, both a short walk from an MRT — or meet us online from anywhere.
